Mating of greater flamingos
Once their couples are formed, the greater flamingos (Phœnicopterus roseus) often stay together and simultaneously engage in similar occupations. They initially keep taking part in the collective parades before momentarily departing from the group and mating. They accompany their lovemaking with muffled cries and plumage grooming gestures before immediately starting building their nest.
