Access to the Tao waterfall

The Tao waterfall is located north of the Ouaïème river ferry in the commune of Hienghène. It is 328ft (100m) high and it can be reached in an hour's round trip, at the end of a slightly steep and sometimes slippery signposted path. The view from its summit extends to the lagoon. In rainy periods, its flow can suddenly increase, making the access dangerous.
