Access to the natural aquarium of Maré

0
A lagoon-colored hole in the vegetation of mangroves, Maré natural aquarium forms a circular swimming pool with crystal clear waters yet prohibited for swimming. Located on the west coast of Maré, 0.6mi (1km) south of Tadine on the way to Cengeite, the aquarium is very easily accessible by a short signposted path. Its access is free. After the visit, a path on the right allows you to reach the coast or you can go, 0.4mi (700m) further, on the flowery tomb of Yeiwéné Yeiwéné, the independence leader assassinated in 1989.
