Bee or fly?

The decoration that adorns the knives made in the village of Laguiole is the source of a great debate. Some people see it as a bee and others see it as a fly. The legend says that Napoleon would have authorized the inhabitants to add a bee to the coat of arms of the village to reward them for their brave behavior. The most plausible hypothesis relates to the manufacturing details of the knives. The Laguiole's ones are fly knives according to the name given to the small metal part used to close the blade.
