At the ‘CRB-Vigne’ (Center for Biological Resources of the Vine) in Vassal-Montpellier, the vines from 54 wine-growing countries are studied and preserved. This center represents the largest central French ampelographic collection. The vines kept there are classified from a morphological, agronomic, technological, phenological, sanitary, genetic, and bibliographical point of view.
