A workshop left untouched

The workshop of Robert Marichy, one of the last woodturners perpetuating the Jura tradition, has not changed since 1932. When he took the reins from his father, he kept everything, including machines and tools. Cast-iron wheels fixed to the ceiling still drive the wide leather belts used to turn the wood. Robert Marichy's workshop overlooks a small orchard also managed by the slow and precise hands of the craftsman. He often tells his visitors that you must not rush the wood.
