Felice Varini, a 66-year-old Swiss contemporary artist, has been entrusted with representing the celebration of 20 years since the city of Carcassonne was classified by Unesco. For five months, the ephemeral work dressed the city walls with huge yellow concentric circles. To create this work named Eccentric Concentric, Varini called on rope access technicians, but also art school students. The artist aimed to offer a renewed vision of the medieval city.
