A woodland kingfisher on the lookout
2
0
The woodland kingfisher may be identified by its bicolor beak. Indeed, its upper mandibule is orange, whereas its lower mandibule is black. It usually hunts from a perch, from where preys are located. It is able to catch flying insects in midair, such as beetles or dragonflies, or even to attack lizards and rodents on the ground.
