Opened in 1997, the Christian Dior Museum in Granville brings together a collection of objects and more than 100 dresses and accessories that belonged to the famous couturier. Prestigious dresses, with names evocative of ceremonial evenings, are exhibited there, such as the Night-Club (1954) and Tour d'Argent (1955) models. Dior's love for flowers is reflected in Rose France (1956). The Diablesse pleated dress (1947) is a flamboyant red only mitigated by a wide green belt like a Baccara rose.
