A Virgin perched on a small hill

Saint-Georges Chapel overlooks the Château Léoube wine estate in Bormes-les-Mimosas in the Var department. It stands 121 ft (37 m) above sea level on a small hill facing the Mediterranean Sea and offers visitors one of the most favorable views over the Bay of Léoube. Its statue of the Virgin faces another representation of the mother of Christ erected on the northern part of the estate to protect its 1,384 acres (560 ha) of land dedicated to the cultivation of vines and olive trees.
