A vineyard with great diversity
0
0
The Burgundy vineyard spreads out its 72,896 acres (29,500 ha), including 61,776 acres (25,000 ha) in AOC (Controlled Designation of Origin), over four departments: Yonne, Côte-d'Or, Saône-et-Loire, and Rhône. The clay-limestone soils from the Jurassic favor the terroirs of the Burgundian vineyard up to Mâcon. Further south, in Beaujolais, are the granite foothills of the Massif Central. Depending on their exposure, the wines take on different tastes and colors that make up the richness of their terroir and the remarkable diversity of Burgundy wines.
