The village of Sainte-Enimie has been listed among the Plus Beaux Villages de France (Most Beautiful Villages of France). King Dagobert's sister, Sainte Enimie, is said to have founded a monastery there in the 6th century after her miraculous recovery from leprosy in the waters of the Burle. The village extends on an old pilgrimage route to Saint Guilhem. Its narrow streets are paved with Tarn pebbles and lined with old houses typical of the region. The 14th-century Notre-Dame-du-Gourg church contains wooden statues from the 12th and 15th centuries as well as ceramic about the life of Sainte Enimie.
