A village away from the main roads

The historic village of Gassin is located in the heart of Saint-Tropez Peninsula at 659 ft (201 m) above sea level, away from the main traffic axes. The lower part of the municipality's territory (the crossroads of La Foux) is a particularly busy and congested in summer crossing point towards Saint-Tropez. Deprived of rail access since the dismantling of the Var coastline line of the Provence Railways at the end of the 1940s, Gassin's center is only accessible by several departmental roads.
