The Tufs waterfall of Planches-près-Arbois (Jura) is located at an altitude of 1,154 feet (352 meters) in the Arbois blind valley, a few hundred meters downstream from the ‘Petite Source’ of the Cuisance river. It spreads out like a fan over a 26 to 32 feet (8 to 10 meters) high and about 49 feet (15 meters) wide massif of tuffs (limestone rocks). Very photogenic in itself, it also attracts visitors because of the gours (natural basins of geological origin) that surround it, upstream and downstream the Cuisance course.
