The Centre d’Interprétation de la Bataille d'Alésia (Battle of Alésia Interpretation Center) occupies a 170 feet (52 m) in diameter cylindrical building with 3,937 square feet (1,200 m²) of exhibition space. This 50 feet (15.5 m) high rotunda rises on several levels accessible by a helicoidal semi-circular ramp leading to a passageway. It is covered with a larch wood mesh that evokes Roman military works and responds to the High Environmental Quality approach. The vegetated terrace with annular wandering on the top floor surmounts an auditorium and offers a panoramic view of the site of the Alésia battle.
