A unique village

Riquewihr is a unique village in Alsace. Its half-timbered houses, tightened in narrow streets, have remained practically intact. They went through wars and centuries, displaying a glimpse of the village's appearance in the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. The opulence of some of its winegrowers' houses is a reminder that Riquewihr is still surrounded by the vines that have made its reputation.
