A typically Mediterranean vegetation
0
0
Wooded areas made of both cork and high forests widely cover the locality of Bormes-les-Mimosas. Their distribution follows the marked reliefs of the Maures Massif and the rocky coasts of Cap Bénat. They consist of forests dominated by deciduous trees, mainly cork oaks, mixed with groups of scrub and scrubland with varieties of pines and Mediterranean cedars on Cap Bénat. This typically Mediterranean vegetation is a dense association of shrub species on acidic siliceous soils.
