The narwhal (Monodon monoceros) is a cetacean commonly called 'sea unicorn' because of its twisted tusk. It is actually a tooth present only in males and which can measure up to 9.8ft (3m). Thanks to its tens of millions of nerve endings, it acts like a radar helping the narwhal to feed or escape ice imprisonment.
