The facade of the baroque Saint-Bartholomew Church of Gorbio in the Alpes-Maritimes department displays a trompe l'oeil decor. It was painted in 2010 by François Zanatta, an artistic creation entrepreneur from Beausoleil. The church, built in 1683, is otherwise rather modest in its architecture. Rectangular and oriented east-west, the building consists of an imposing central nave with a flat-apsed choir and three bays bordered by side chapels.
