A tribute to a universal and timeless tradition

The Polish visual artist NeSpoon is behind the large fresco that exhibits Alençon lace on the facade of the porch of the city's Musée des Beaux-Arts et de la Dentelle (Museum of Fine Arts and Lace) since April 2018. NeSpoon, whose real name is Elżbieta Dymna, is a street artist who has turned the facades of the buildings on which she creates wall lace with paint and stencil into her playground. Fascinated by the universality of lace and the timeless nature of this still living tradition, she has made lace her trademark to pay tribute to the women who have been making it all over the world for several centuries.
