The medieval village of Saint-Saturnin-lès-Apt is located on the Terre d'Ocre tourist route. Surrounded by scrubland and forests, it dominates the Calavon plain from its location on the southern edge of the Monts de Vaucluse. The center of the village is filled with bourgeois doors, fountains, or Atlantean balconies and also has several wash houses and two 17th-century windmills. The ascent to the castle by stone calades allows roaming amid the remains of the primitive village once surrounded by ramparts and reaching the keep and the castle chapel of 1056.
