The horse still gives off an impression of nobility and style superior to that of other draft breeds, hence its worldwide success. Renowned for its docility, it is likened to a ton of kindness. The heaviest Percheron at the Haras National du Pin, Reggae, weighs 2,048 pounds (929 kg). It is, like the other Percherons registered in France, branded with a hot iron on the left side of its neck with the letters S and P, the initials of the Société Hippique Percheronne (Percheron Horse Society).
