The Société des Amis du Louvre (Society of Friends of the Louvre) brings together informed art enthusiasts who, through their donations, contribute to enriching the collections. In 1992, they acquired the tiara of Empress Eugénie. It consists of seven strips with three large superimposed pearls, while eight cartridges in the form of diamond foliage are bordered by a row of pearls and rest on a band. In total, the tiara is adorned with 1,998 diamonds and 212 pearls, including 17 pears. It is on display in the Salon d'Apollon (Apollo Gallery) along with 22 other Crown jewels.
