Originally, the estate of Château Malherbe in Bormes-les-Mimosas served as a farm for the Fort de Brégançon, when it used to participate in the protection of the bays of Toulon and Hyères from enemy intrusions. The main building with a yellow facade was built in the 16th century. It is flanked by an old vegetable garden and symbolizes the southern art of living. The estate's current postal address, Route du Bout du monde (Road of the world's end), further reinforces the privileged character of the site, on the Mediterranean shore.
