A symbolic horse breed

0
The small Camargue horse represents one of the oldest breeds in the world. Legend has it that it was born from sea foam. A man jumped into the water to escape a bull chasing him, and a Camargue stallion came out of the foam to save him. With its grey dress and sure-footed nature, the horse is a symbolic figure of the Camargue region. It is well adapted to the Mediterranean climate and is able to resist strong winds, winter cold, insects, or summer heat. Camargue horses are also often seen advancing their necks bent facing the mistral, a southern wind.
