Since 2013, a 78 ft (24 m) long footbridge has allowed visitors to the Coeur Bouliki natural site in Martinique to cross the Rivière Blanche, which was once fordable about 32 ft (10 m) upstream at the level of the highly regulated water catchment area. This suspension bridge gives them access to the very popular Rabuchon hike. It was built following the passage of hurricane Dean with ropes to which were added wooden planks covered with a trellis to stabilize and facilitate the crossing.
