Marie-José Pommereau has been the resident decorator at the Plaza Athénée Hotel for over 15 years. In 2014, the hotel closed for eleven months for a complete expansion and renovation. The decorator restored some of the rooms, suites and bathrooms, recreating serene atmospheres. In the bathroom of the Eiffel Haute Couture Suite, the large window brings in light to highlight the white marble with grey veins Calacatta, from the Carrara quarries in Italy. The mirrors and the mosaic in the bathtub add an indispensable artistic touch.
