Once past the harbor of Barfleur, the Normandy coast rounds off in many coves until Cap de Barfleur. Pointe de la Basse, Havre de Crabec, Havre de Flicmore and Havre de Houlvi follow one another. At the very end of Cap de Barfleur is the lighthouse of Gatteville, the second-largest in France. Its semaphore warns about the strong and dangerous currents of the Raz de Barfleur.
