The Haras National du Pin in the Orne department benefits from partial protection as a Historical Monument. The stud farm's creation, requested by Louis XIV, was entrusted to royal architect Pierre Le Mousseux. The estate's castle stands at the end of the median that supports two rows of stables placed in two symmetrical and parallel lines framing the courtyard.
