A structure of curved glass veils

The image of the Fondation Louis Vuitton is based on its 12 partially overlapping glass veils of convex surface with varying curvatures. Architect Frank Gehry designed the building as a boat with billowing sails, and only curved quadrangular windows could give it the desired appearance. They are composed of two extra-clear laminated glasses, one screen-printed with 50% density, and a slightly reflective metallic layer. This process catches the light and renews its color at every moment of the day.
