The stability of the relations between Przewalski horses (Equus ferus przewalskii) of the same group avoids tensions within the harem. The dominant stallion can make its subordinates understand what it wants (food, water, space, shade, etc.) without having to engage in an energy-intensive fight. The threats displayed by its facial expressions are indeed sufficient to signify the intention of aggression.
