A specialist in the study of insects
0
0
Following the example of Gérard Filippi (photo), an entomologist is a specialist in the study of insects whose main qualities are curiosity and patience. Often in the field, he observes insects, identifies species, and gathers samples that he later studies in his laboratory. He is particularly interested in their morphology, natural habitats, and modes of reproduction and evolution. An entomologist is also concerned by the insects' role in the ecosystems and their impact on the environment and the propagation of diseases as indicators of the ecological state of an area.
