A space dedicated to the Roman army
The two armies that clashed at Alésia are presented in the museum space of the Interpretation Center of the MuséoParc Alésia. The thorough space 8 dedicated to the Roman army extends on both sides of a picture rail around several themes addressing the organization of the Roman army, the clothing and the equipment of the legionnaire, and the remuneration of the soldiers. The presentation of original accessories is supplemented by facsimiles of elements of Roman panoply from the end of the Republican era, including helmets and coats of mail.
