A solitary carnivorous wader
0
0
The Common Greenshank (Tringa nebularia) is a small wader present on the marshes and mudflats of the ornithological park of Pont de Gau in Camargue during its two annual migratory passages. It is mostly visible from July to October in the region. Solitary outside the breeding season, this carnivorous bird lives near water points, whether the salty waters of silted estuaries and coasts or the fresh waters of lakes, which it roams slowly to capture its prey with its long, slightly curved bill.
