A small village with a rich heritage

Small in size, the village of Moustiers-Sainte-Marie has a rich heritage with two buildings listed as Historical Monuments. The Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption parish church has been recognized since 1913 and the chapel dedicated to Notre-Dame de Beauvoir since 1921. Built between the 12th and 14th centuries, Moustiers-Sainte-Marie's church has a remarkable Lombard bell tower, considered one of the most beautiful in Provence. As for its chapel, it was a place of pilgrimage renowned for its miracles and its suscitations (arousals).
