A small feline with a uniform coat

0
The jaguarundi (Puma yagouaroundi) is a small feline of the primary forests and prairies of America with a uniformly black, gray-brown or russet coat. It is born spotted and quickly takes on a solid color. Its red color is ancestral while the darker colors are the result of an evolution. Its hair, which does not have the same shade throughout its length, is said to be 'agouti' (ticking); it seems to change color when it bristles.
