The Côte Fleurie (Flowery Coast) extends in eastern Calvados, between the estuaries of the Touques and the Orne. From Cabourg to Honfleur, it spreads 25 miles (40 km) of fine sandy beaches sometimes lined with cliffs. Known for its flowers, the coast's hinterland crosses the protected areas of the Falaises des Vaches Noires (Black Cows Cliffs) and the Marais de Blonville (Blonville Marsh). With its traditional or Art Deco villas and the planks of the Deauville promenade, the Côte Fleurie is sometimes considered the Calvados Riviera.
