A showcase of Art Nouveau

0
The Villa Majorelle was built to be a permanent showcase of the Art Nouveau movement. The most renowned artists in Nancy joined cabinetmaker Louis Majorelle to shape it. The project had to bring together all the elements constituent of Art Nouveau, such as references to nature, woodworks and colored or flamed ceramics. With the World Exposition in Paris in 1900, interest in this style was at its peak, and it flourished everywhere in France and the Western World.
