A series of old and tall houses

Quai Sainte-Catherine borders the Vieux Port of Honfleur to the west and partially to the south. It extends as an uninterrupted series of old houses very popular with painters from the School of Honfleur, the precursors of the Impressionist movement. Its 16th and 18th-century houses have been listed as Historical Monuments since 1933. Narrow and three to seven stories high, they have slate roofs and mostly house restaurants and brasseries on the ground floor.
