A sensitive forest management

The forest cover management of the Massif des Ocres in the Luberon Regional Nature Park is guided by two objectives. It aims at limiting the risk of fire and enhancing the natural heritage of the ocher cliffs by creating 30 feet (10m) wide corridors around them. The Regional Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry (DRAF) regularly designates among the Aleppo pines, oaks, and poplars the trees to be felled after a precise analysis of the local biomass.
