80% of the Corsican littoral consists of rocks whose nature - granitic from Solenzara to the Agriates desert, schistose in the Cap Corse, calcareous around Bonifacio and Saint-Florent - depends on the geological formation to which they belong. This rocky part of the littoral punctually shelters sandy beaches of various sizes contiguous to the rocky cliffs.
