Thanks to the respect of the town planning rules and subdivision plan implemented in the mid-1920s on its territory, the locality of Rayol-Canadel-sur-Mer constitutes one of the most preserved areas of the French Mediterranean coast. It occupies a natural cirque of greenery that forms a balcony on the sea to the south of the Maures massif and faces the Îles d'Or (Golden Islands). The particularly jagged and rocky coastline of Rayol-Canadel-sur-Mer consists of a multitude of capes, creeks, and small bays with fine sandy beaches.
