The Verdon is not just an impressive river but an entire territory with multiple identities. They are articulated around the river in a mosaic of seven main landscape areas at the confluence between the Alps and the Mediterranean. Particularly rich from a geological point of view, the Verdon is home to 2,200 varieties of plants (1/3 of the French flora), allowing a great diversity of common and remarkable animal species.
