A rich fauna and flora

Remained particularly wild and located in a protected area, Cap Camarat is covered with a flora mainly consisting of cork oaks and shrubs, in particular arbutus. Nationally protected species such as Jupiter's Beard (Anthyllis barba-jovis) and the small fern Isoetes de Durieu (Isoetes duriei Bory) are present in its coastal part. This Mediterranean flora is also home to several species of lizards and snakes as well as Hermann's turtles. Finally, the rocky rim of the cape welcomes seabirds such as northern gannets (Morus bassanus).
