A return to its natural insularity

The restoration works of the Mont-Saint-Michel’s maritime nature required ten years. Completed in 2015, they have given a new appearance to this unique site. Visitors can reach the Mont via a suspended footbridge, restoring its insularity during the high tide. It was urgent to restore the beauty of the islet by removing the 19th century road-dike and the maritime car parks. The Mont then seems to float in all its majesty while being celebrated by the reflections on its seabed.
