A restored Romanesque church

0
The Romanesque church of the monastery of Notre-Dame de Clémence, of which only the north wall, part of the apse, and the bell tower remained in the 17th century, has been restored thanks to donations. The vault has been completely redone in sandstone, as in the original 12th-century church. Oriented towards the east, evocative of Jerusalem and the heavenly Jerusalem following the tradition of the monasteries' churches, it is embedded in an ensemble of buildings from the 17th century. Its call bell or tintenelle was included in the Historical Monuments as a movable object on June 26, 1982.
