The Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris) is a species resistant to drought and heat as well as extreme cold which, depending on its habitat, takes extremely diverse forms. This rustic species adapts to mediocre soil conditions and takes root in shallow substrates such as the sands of the Massif des Ocres in the Regional Nature Park of Luberon.
