The Saint-Clair district of the municipality of Le Lavandou in the Var department is a residential area located behind the eponymous beach and extending over the slopes of the first hills of the Massif des Maures. The locality of 2,425 acres (3,005 ha) hosted a little more than 6,000 permanent residents, called Lavandourains, in January 2020. Its population increases tenfold in summer when it expands between 40,000 and 80,000 inhabitants.
