When they acquired Château Léoube estate in 1997, Anthony Bamford, a British industrialist at the head of a successful construction vehicle company, and his wife Carole Bamford, the President of Daylesford Organic Farms, were not neophytes. They stand as ambassadors of an agro-environmental approach developed for more than twenty-five years in Great Britain, in particular through the concept of FarmShop Daylesford Organic chaired by Carole Bamford. The couple, ennobled by the British crown, converted the Var estate to its philosophy of the essential based on a mixture of biodynamics, organic farming, know-how, and art of living.
