Vaison-la-Romaine is a member of the Most Beautiful Detours in France association created in 1998. This organization brings together 107 small tourist towns of 2,000 to 20,000 inhabitants located outside the main roads which share the same objective of sustainable development of quality tourist activity. Beyond its privileged archaeological heritage, Vaison-la-Romaine also demonstrates a considerable artistic and cultural dynamism that earned it the European Choral City label. It rewards Vaison-la-Romaine's numerous events and festivals dedicated to dance, chorals and singing, music, theater, comics, and gastronomy.
